My favorite cuzzin from northern California. We didn't meet til 1990...but our connection was instantaneous. Proof of that is that after I moved from California and we hadn't seen or heard from each other in 17 years...we found that we both had parented two boys, both Joshua's and Matthew's (his Matthew came first, my Joshua came first) Twilight Zone moment.
I love my cuz, and hope to actually see him someday before we get too much older and/or grayer.
I remember when we had one of these clocks hanging on our wall. Until my mom and step-dad got married. The maid of honor and best man came and redecorated our house; pouring 5 lbs of rice in their bed, t.p.'d the entire house, put pots n pans in the frig, and turned the clock upside down, among other things (my room was safe though..whew). The clock kept time after that, but her tail and eyes remained still :(
