I promised myself that after I had practice at digiscrapping that I would redo the layout I made of Mom. I have plenty of practice now and was ready to redo her layout. But instead of getting rid of the first one, I thought I'd place them together to see how much my scrapping has evolved.
The youth picture of mom was taken in 1945, her 8th grade picture, she was 13. The adult picture was taken in 1976, she was 45.
Not a day goes by that we don't miss her or think about her. Her biggest fear was that her grandkids would forget her after she was gone... never happen!
In life, she loved to go to Tahoe and sit at the nickel slots. But more often you could find her down at the Bingo hall. She loved to cook, bake, preserve. And she liked to sew. Her favorite composer/composition was Floyd Cramer's "Last Date." She was the best grandmother a kid could have...and she wasn't a half bad mother-in-law either. Of course we had our differences, but overall we had a bond that was one of a kind, deep respect and true admiration.
I do my best to keep her spirit alive with "Grandma's Goodies" at holiday meals. Pies n fudge n jello cake Mmm Mmm goooood. Love you Mom...SEE we haven't forgotten you ;))

Here's the first one...WOW...
would you look at the difference
