Matthew Farewell to the 4th Grade

Pictured with Matthew are Joey (top left) Mrs Diefendorf 4th grade teacher(bottom left) and his best friend Andea (right). His best friend is an adult-you say? Yes she is. Andea's son Elijah (who you'll see in other LO's with Josh) is Joshua's best friend. Why? She is so sweet that she will occupy Matthew SPOILING HIM ROTTEN to give Elijah and Josh their "alone time" away from the dreaded 9 year old. She takes him shopping and treats him to all kinds of goodies. She has been a lifeline after my having gone back to work.

Andea and Matthew are definitely BFF's!!!

Joey (Andea's bf)- he is just the coolest thing since sliced butter. He can play wine glasses (making music) & he has a cool haircut & he loves watermelon dentyne (which is also Matthews new fav) ;)

Mrs Diefendorf-She has been an inspiration to Matthew this year. She has helped him conquer some of his baby syndrome. She shared with Jerry and I right after snapping this pic a story. The day after Easter he came in to school and said to her, "Mrs Diefendorf, I got baptized yesterday, and I know how to be a good student now." She added that the change in him was amazing and it started that day. I cried of course

Matthew is almost 10-My baby is growing up. 5th grade-here he comes... Ready to be on Safety Patrol and rule the world.

This is an unfinished project as of yet. Getting ready to break for summer from teaching Sunday school-and wanted to make something (buttons) for the kids to remember our time together. I won't have any of my SS kids again next year-some of whom I've been teaching for 2 years I also haven't had time to scrap anything in months-so wanted to share what I hope will be a summer scrapping kick-off..LOL

Been at home sick for a week now, and finally had a burst of energy last night. That burst is gone, but I wanted to get this posted...as it's been so long since I've been able to.

All extracted photo's are from Spirit Assembly earlier this month at the boys' school where my oldest was awarded Student of the Month. It was also "Crazy Hat Day" and "Pajama Day."I'm planning a second page..but will have to see how I'm feeling later.

Snow Days 2008

Western Washington is experiencing a winter blast that is soon to make the record books. We usually get some snow...but not the amount we're seeing this December. It's a beautiful sight...but a bugger to get around if your not accustomed to having the snow stick around for any more than a day or two. Nonetheless, we are having fun and excited about having a white Christmas. Here's Joshua and Matthew having fun in the snow yesterday 12-21-08.

ps...I hope I am able to get to the store to finish up my christmas shopping...LOL
